At-Home Structured Literacy

Next Generation Reading Intervention

Rigorous dyslexia intervention at a fraction of tutoring costs. Proven in-person methods translated into multisensory digital lessons that adapt to your child.

Built from years of direct intervention work with over 100 struggling readers.

Designed for the Dyslexic and Neurodivergent

Every routine is designed for 2nd grade through adult learners around structured literacy principles, then translated into digital and hands-on interactions.

Explicit & Systematic Instruction

Built from years of Orton-Gillingham based intervention work with over 100 struggling readers, so each digital routine reflects teaching moves proven in practice.

Multisensory + active engagement

Learners press, say, hear, and record each sound while practicing explicit blending, segmenting, and sound manipulation with tight feedback loops.

Targeted Review Until Mastery

Skills that are not yet secure stay in rotation with focused review, so learners keep practicing the exact patterns they need before moving on.

Personalized and Adaptive

Activities speed up when learners are accurate and slow down when they need support. Guided transcription captures their voice, while a rotating bank of thousands of words keeps practicing the same skills with fresh words.

Parent Visibility Dashboard

Every interaction with text is captured so parents can see strengths, weaknesses, trends, and newly acquired skills.

How It Works

A structured path from decoding & encoding to fluency

Unleash is built around a comprehensive 10-level scope and sequence. Each level breaks into objectives, each objective teaches specific skills, and learners move forward only after the right skills are secure.

Course Structure

A clear scope and sequence across 10 levels.

Learners follow an Orton-Gillingham based scope and sequence with 10 levels and roughly six to eight objectives per level. Each level builds from earlier skills into the next set of patterns, giving families a clear path through decoding, encoding, and fluency.

Day to Day Flow

Each lesson moves from supported practice to independent mastery.

New skills are introduced with explicit instruction, then surrounded by supports that help learners succeed. As accuracy improves, those scaffolds are gradually removed so the learner can produce the skill independently through decoding and encoding. Once the skill is secure, learners apply it in fluency and comprehension work.

  1. 1

Introduce the literacy skill through explicit instruction

  2. 2

    Guided practice with supports

  3. 3

    Scaffolded decoding and encoding

  4. 4

    Gradual release to independence

  5. 5

Fluency and comprehension through controlled texts

View Full FAQ
Do I need a dyslexia diagnosis first?

No. Families use Unleash Literacy with and without a formal diagnosis when learners need explicit, structured reading support.

How much time should we plan each week?

Most learners do best with 30-minute sessions completed daily or every other day. Short, consistent routines help skills stick.

Is Unleash Literacy a comprehensive reading program or a supplement?

Unleash Literacy is a comprehensive structured literacy program covering phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and connected reading. It is designed to serve as a learner's primary reading program, while also working well alongside school, tutoring, or intervention when a learner needs additional targeted practice.

Is Unleash Literacy based on Orton-Gillingham?

Yes. Lessons are built around structured literacy and Orton-Gillingham based principles, including explicit instruction, cumulative review, multisensory practice, and mastery-based progression.

How long does it take to complete the program?

Plan on about 1 to 2.5 years to complete the full program. The exact timeline depends on lesson consistency, weekly pacing, and how much targeted review a learner needs before moving on.

Can I cancel if it is not the right fit?

Yes. Plans are month-to-month, and you can manage cancellation in account settings at any time.
