For child accounts, we collect only a first name or nickname and learning data — never a full name, photo, or contact information for the child.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Unleash Literacy service, personalize your child's learning path, send account-related communications, and process payments. We do not use children's data for advertising or sell any personal data to third parties.
COPPA Compliance
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any information from children under 13. Parents may review, update, or delete their child's information at any time by contacting us.
Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use industry-standard security practices, including regular vulnerability assessments, role-based access controls, and automated monitoring.
Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use a privacy-focused analytics tool to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Data Retention
We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for research purposes.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@unleashliteracy.com. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
